Ingredients for Desi Tacos:
- For dough:.
- 1 cup wheat flour.
- 1 tbsp oil.
- As per taste Salt as per taste.
- As required Water.
- For filling:.
- 3 raw banana.
- 1/2 tsp ginger-chilli paste.
- As per taste Salt.
- 1 tsp lemon juice.
- 1 Chopped capsicum.
- Handful Chopped coriander.
- 1 tbsp oil.
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds.
- Pinch asafoetida (hing).
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
- As per taste Tomato ketchup.
- As required Cheese cubes.
- As required Ghee/butter for roasting.
Step by step how to cook Desi Tacos:
- In a bowl, take flour, add salt and oil. Mix well. Add water and knead a soft dough (like paratha). Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes..
- Boil and mash raw bananas. Add salt, ginger-chilli paste, chopped capsicum, coriander leaves, lemon juice and tempering of cumin seeds, hing and turmeric powder. Mix the stuffing well..
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them. Dry roast each roti and keep aside..
- Spread tomato ketchup on a roti and spread the stuffing on half side of the roti. Grate some cheese and fold. Likewise prepare all the tacos. Roast from both the sides and serve with ketchup or chutney..
