Ingredients for Heart Shape Carrot Halwa:
- 1 kg Carrots.
- 1 litre Milk.
- 1 cup sugar.
- 1 teaspoon cardamon powder.
- 2 tablespoon ghee.
- 250 gm mawa.
- handful Dry nuts.
- 8-10 threads saffron.
- 1 tsp Saunf (fennel)for garnishing.
Step by step how to cook Heart Shape Carrot Halwa:
- Wash carrots. Peel and grate them..
- Bring milk to a boil in a heavy bottom deep pan..
- Add grated carrots and begin to stir..
- Cook until the milk has completely evaporated..
- Add sugar Cook until the moisture evaporates..
- Soak saffron in to a lukewarm milk and add it into the carrots..
- Add ghee & cook the halwa until thickens..
- Add mawa (khoya) at this moment. Stir & cook for 2 -3 min..
- Add cardamom powder & dry nuts. Stir well..
- Garnish with nuts and saunf. Serve hot or cold..
