Ingredients for Mati Aloo Yam Fry:

  1. 300 gm khamalu chopped in 1 1/2 inch pieces.
  2. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  3. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
  4. To taste salt.
  5. 1 tbsp rice flour.
  6. 1/2 tsp chaat masala.
  7. 1 tsp roasted cumin powder.
  8. As needed Oil for fry.

Step by step how to cook Mati Aloo Yam Fry:

  1. Remove the skin of Khamalu, cut into size as like, wash properly and dry with a kitchen towel to remove the stickiness..
  2. Rub all the masala except roasted cumin powder, rice flour and cooking oil..
  3. Marinade for 15 minutes. Then roll each piece on rice flour..
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the coated Khumalu pieces on both the sides, (low-medium flame) covering the pan..
  5. When both the sides are cooked, dust them with roasted cumin powder. Serve the hot, tangy Khumalu with tea /as a side item in lunch. Thanks.
