How to cook Meat Buns for beginners

Meat Buns - It turned out very good but i think i could have cooked it a little longer.. Today I am sharing this Meat Buns! A quick and easy dinner that is ready in under 45 minutes!

Ingredients for Meat Buns:

  1. Arabic Dough.
  2. 1 cup warm water.
  3. 1 tbs yeast.
  4. 1 cup flour.
  5. 1 tsp salt.
  6. 1 tbs oil.
  7. 2 tbs milk powder.
  8. 2 tbs oil.
  9. 1 cup flour.
  10. Steak filling for Buns.
  11. 500 g rump steak cut in cubes.
  12. 1 medium red onion sliced.
  13. Pinch methi (fenugreek).
  14. Pinch Jeeru (cumin).
  15. Pinch Black mustard seeds.
  16. 1/2 tbs vinegar.
  17. 1 tomato cubed/grated.
  18. 1 tsp Dhania powder.
  19. 1 tsp Jeeru powder.
  20. 2 tsp Rajahs mild curry powder adjust to taste.
  21. 1 tsp crushed garlic.
  22. 1/2 tsp crushed ginger.
  23. 1 tsp red masala.
  24. 1 tbs Soya sauce.
  25. 1-2 tbs Worcestershire sauce.
  26. 1 tsp steak & chops spice.
  27. 1 tsp Barbecue spice.
  28. 2 tbs oil.
  29. 2 tbs Chopped Dhania and spring onions.
  30. 1 potato cubed and boiled till soft.

Step by step how to cook Meat Buns:

  1. Mix warm water, yeast, flour, salt, oil, milk powder and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Add flour and oil. Knead into a smooth dough. Set aside 45 mins. Punch down and form small balls..
  2. Fry red onions in oil together with the dry whole spices (methi (fenugreek), Jeeru (cumin) and Black mustard seeds) until colour begins to change..
  3. Add cubed steak and vinegar Soya sauce and Worcestershire sauce and boil for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Once water has dried out add all the spices (red masala, steak & chops spice, Barbecue spice) and the chopped tomato crushed garlic and ginger. Mix nicely and cook until the spices are nicely absorbed and the meat is tender..
  5. Add the boiled cubed potatoes and mix into the cooked steak so the potatoes are coated in the spices and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and add your chopped greens (Dhania and spring onions). Mix nicely and allow to cool completely before filling in the buns.
  7. Make a small ball with the dough and flatten put the filling in the center and seal at the bottom.
  8. Place on a greased oven tray. Egg wash and sprinkle with black poppy seeds. Bake at 180 degrees for 18 -20 mins until nicely browned.
