Ingredients for Fried Yam:

  1. Half tuber of yam.
  2. to taste Salt.
  3. Thyme (1tbp).
  4. Little water.
  5. Cooking oil.
  6. I cube of stock seasoning (Maggi).

Step by step how to cook Fried Yam:

  1. Dice yam into desired sizes but not chunky. Rinse and season with the stock seasoning, salt, thyme and a little water as shown in the pix..
  2. Deep fry the yam, put a little of the water you seasoned the yam with and cover the frying pan so the water can absorb in the yam. After it has been absorbed, the yam starts to fry properly. Fry till golden brown.
  3. Serve with any sauce of your choice..
