Step by step how to cook Instant chicken biryani:
- Cut 500gms of chicken into pieces of approx 1inch each.
- In a bowl add 400gms of curd,empty the whole packet of suhana biryani masala, add spices if required (as the masala isnt spicy).
- Add ginger garlic paste.
- Do not add salt as it's already added to the inatant masala.
- Mix really very well.
- Then add chicken to it and mix well and let aside for 30mins.
- In a vessel add ghee and cloves and bay leaves just for aroma (it's your choice).
- Cook rice upto 80% (do use basmati rice for making any biryani).
- In a kadai or vessel add ghee or oil and heat.
- Add onions vertically chopped and fry well then add the matinated mixture to it and about half cup of water only if required.
- Mix well and cover with lid.
- Add water on lid and let the chicken cook.
- Keep checking to avoid bottom burn.
- As chicken leaves water, you need to thicken the gravy a bit or as desired.
- Letz layer it once cooked.
- Remove half chckn gravy or masala aside and put a layer of rice on it.....
- You can add onion birista and kevda essence or rose essence.
- Then again add the other half chicken masala.
- Layer it with rice again..
- You can add the layers according to the quantity, just make sure each layer should be 2 to 3 inches in height.
- Mix food colour in 2 to 3 spoons milk.each colour seperately.
- Now garnish it with boiled egg, onion birista, dry fruits and coriander, and sprinkle the coloured milk, with some kesar over it.
- Now cover the vessel with lid and place any heavy substance on it(used another vessel filled with water).
- Set it for dum on low sim for 5 to 8 mins.
- Ready to serve.
