Ingredients for Oriental Fish Soup:
- 360 Grams Fish Fillet (I use Toothfish).
- 1 Medium Onion, chopped.
- 3 Stalks Celery Stick.
- 1 Litre Chicken Stock/Broth.
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce.
- 2 Tsp Dry Sherry / Shaoxing Wine.
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil.
- Salt, Pepper, Sugar for seasoning.
Step by step how to cook Oriental Fish Soup:
- Clean and fillet the fish, then marinate with Soy Sauce, Shaoxing Wine, and 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil, set aside in room temperature for 1 hour.
- In the meantime, chop the onion, and celery stalks.
- Saute the onion together with celery stalks, and close the lid for about 5 minutes.
- Pour over the chicken broth into the pot, and the fish together with the marinate sauce.
- Let it cook for about 10 minutes, then seasoned with salt, pepper, sugar. Taste and dish-up! Yum!!.
