Bread Lasagne - It turned out very good but i think i could have cooked it a little longer.. Today I am sharing this Bread Lasagne! A quick and easy dinner that is ready in under 20 minutes!

Ingredients for Bread Lasagne:

  1. For white sauce.
  2. 3 tbsp butter.
  3. 3 tbsp maida/All-purpose flour.
  4. 1 cup milk.
  5. 1/2 tsp oregano.
  6. to taste Salt.
  7. For red sauce.
  8. 1/2 cup water.
  9. 3-4 medium sized tomatoes.
  10. 2-3 tbsp cooking oil.
  11. 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic.
  12. 1 medium size finely chopped onion.
  13. 1 tsp red chilli powder.
  14. 1 tsp oregano.
  15. 1/2 tsp chilli flakes.
  16. 1/2 tsp sugar.
  17. to taste Salt.
  18. 2-3 tbsp water.
  19. To saute vegetables.
  20. 2 tsp oil.
  21. 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic.
  22. 1/2 cup boiled sweetcorn.
  23. 2 small capsicum.
  24. 1 medium size carrot.
  25. 1 small tomato.
  26. 3/4 tsp oregano.
  27. 1 tsp chilli flakes.
  28. to taste Salt.
  29. To make lasagne.
  30. 10-12 white bread slices.
  31. 1/2 cup cooking salt.
  32. 1/2 cup Processed cheese.
  33. 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

Step by step how to cook Bread Lasagne:

  1. To make white sauce: In a pan add 3 tbsp of butter. When the butter melts,add 3 tbsp maida and saute it in a way as no lumps should be formed. Then add milk and whisk it. Then add oregano and salt to taste. And our white sauce is ready..
  2. To make red sauce: Blanch the tomatoes in 1/2 cup water for 10 mins till they become soft. As they cool down grind them..
  3. In a pan add add finely chopped garlic saute it till the raw aroma goes away. Then add finely chopped onion saute it for a while then add tomato puree and saute it. Then add chilli flakes,oregano,salt and sugar. After that add water cook for a while and turn off the flame. And our red sauce is ready..
  4. To saute vegetables: Take a pan or kadhai, add oil then finely chopped garlic saute it till the raw aroma goes..
  5. Then add all the veggies and saute it for some time. Then add oregano,chilli flakes and salt to taste..
  6. To make Lasagne: Take a baking tray or cake tin, spread the red sauce first followed by white sauce and bread slices. Then again spread white sauce,red sauce. Then spread saute veggies followed by cheese..
  7. Repeat this process 2-3 times. I done this 2 times. On the top after final spreding of cheese add very little red sauce,white sauce and veggies so that the lasagne don't look only white because of cheese but somewhat colourful..
  8. Then in a kadhai add some cooking salt place a stand and keep the baking tray on it. Let it bake for 15-20 mins on medium flame..
  9. And our super tasty,yummy,cheesy, delicious bread lasagne is ready to enjoy..
