Ingredients for Bread Upma:

  1. 6-7 bread slices.
  2. 2 tomatoes.
  3. 2 onions chopped.
  4. 1 green chilli finely chopped.
  5. 1 inch ginger finely chopped.
  6. 2-3 tsp coriander leaves finely chopped.
  7. 6-7 curry leaves.
  8. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds.
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  10. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
  12. 1/2 tsp sugar.
  13. 1 tsp lemon juice.
  14. Salt (to taste).
  15. 3-4 spoon Oil.

Step by step how to cook Bread Upma:

  1. Take bread slices,cut it roughly.Chop the tomatoes..
  2. Heat oil in a wok.Add mustard seeds,cumin and curry leaves.When seeds starts crackle,add ginger, green chilli and onions.stir.Soute it till onions become translucent..
  3. Add tomatoes, salt,turmeric powder and chilli powder.stir.Soute it until tomato becomes soft.cook on medium heat..
  4. Add bread pieces and coriander leaves.Mix all the things altogether.Cook for 1-2 minutes.Add sugar and lemon juice.Mix it.Turn of the flame..
  5. Transfer it in serving dish.Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve immediately.Enjoy with tea..
