Ingredients for Carrot Cake:
- 3 cups self raising flour.
- 3 cups grated carrots.
- 250 g margarine.
- 1 cup brown sugar.
- 1 TBS lemon zest.
- 1 TSP bicarbonate of soda.
- 1 TBS mixed spice.
- 1 TBS ground nutmeg.
- 1 TBS cinnamon.
- 1 TBS ground ginger.
- 4 eggs.
- 250 ml buttermilk.
Step by step how to cook Carrot Cake:
- Preheat oven 180 degrees Celsius.
- Take your mixing bowl pour your margarine and sugar then mix.
- After mixing follows with eggs crack each separately then pour to the mixture.
- Once it's poured to the sugar and margarine mixture then mix again.
- After the mixing of eggs then pour your carrots and a lemon juice.
- Use a spatula to mix now then followed by sifted flour on the dough.
- Then pour the bircabonate of soda, mixed spice, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger.
- Mix the dough by folding slowly but meat.
