Ingredients for Chicken livers and Savory Brown rice:
- 250 g Cleaned Chicken Livers.
- 1/2 Red onion chopped.
- Robot Peppers chopped.
- 1 Tbs Olive oil.
- 1/2 cup fresh cream.
- 1 tsp smoked paprika.
- 1 tsp dried mixed Herbs.
- 1/2 dried tyme.
- 1 tsp Curry Powder.
- 1 tsp Six gun grill spice.
- 1 beef stock cube.
- 1 tsp tomato paste.
- 1 tsp crushed garlic.
- 1 tsp Home made chilli sauce (optional).
- You can use either fresh chillies, dried chillies or any chilli.
- Any chilli sauce that you prefer and the level of heat you like.
- For the Brown Rice.
- 1 cup brown rice.
- 3 cups cold water.
- 1 Vegetable stock cube.
- Sliced baby marrows.
- Green Beans Chopped.
- Chopped Green peppers and onions.
- Olive oil.
- 1 tsp tumeric.
- 1 tsp medium curry powder.
Step by step how to cook Chicken livers and Savory Brown rice:
- Heat oil in pot and add the onions, garlic and peppers.
- Fry, continuously stirring for about 3 munutes and add the spices and herbs.
- Add the cleaned livers and fry in medium heat and add the stock cube.
- Fry for about 7 minutes until the livers are cooked and add cream.
- For the rice.
- Place rice in pot and add one cup of cold water, let it boil.
- Once the water finishes, in a seperate pot, saute onions and peppers in oil and add the curry powder and tumeric.
- Add the boiled rice into the onions and drop in the stock cube, add the vegetables and the remaining 2 cups of water. Reduce heat and let it simmer until cooked..
- Brown rice usually takes longer to cook, about 45 minutes. You can use normal white rice.
- Use a small bowl to shape your rice and serve with the livers.
