Ingredients for Chicken Tikka pasta dum biryani:
- 2 cups pasta.
- 1 teaspoon oil.
- 1 pinch salt.
- 6 cups water.
- 1 bay leaf.
- 4 green cardamom pods.
- 4 black pepper.
- 4 cloves.
- 1/2 inch cinmmon stick.
- for chicken tikka marination : chicken.
- 250 g bonless chicken.
- 1 tablespoon thick yogurt.
- 1 tablespoon kashmiri chilli powder.
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste.
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- 1 tablespoon corn flour.
- 1 pinch salt.
- 1/4 cup Oil for shallow frying.
- For gravy.
- 2 tablespoon oil.
- 1 cup chopped onion.
- 1 cup chopped tomato.
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste.
- 3 tablespoon yogurt.
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder.
- 1 teaspoon biryani masala powder.
- 1/4 teaspoon turmirc powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder.
- For garnishing :.
- 1/4 cup fried onion.
- 3 tablespoon chopped coriander and mint.
- 6-8 fried cashews.
Step by step how to cook Chicken Tikka pasta dum biryani:
- Put water, salt, oil, all whole spices (bay leaf, green cardamom pods, black pepper and cinnamon stick) in a pot and roast on a medium heat for 3 minutes. Put the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water and cook until al dente. Remove the pot from the heat and strain the pasta, keeping the water aside..
- In a large bowl, mix yoghurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cornflour and salt and mix well. Add the chicken and mix well. Set aside for 20 minutes..
- Shallow fry the chicken on a medium heat..
- Take another pan, add some oil and fry the onion till little golden. Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for few minutes..
- Add the chopped tomato, green chilli, yoghurt, chilli powder, biryani masala, turmeric powder, and salt and cook over a medium heat till mixture is perfectly cooked. Add chicken Tikka, mix well and keep aside..
- In a pot, spread one layer of cooked pasta and then add a layer of chicken Tikka gravy, fried onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves and cashews, alternating layers..
- Over a medium heat, put a Tava and on that tava put the above pot and cover it properly keep it for 15 minutes..
- Pasta biryani is now ready serve it hot..
