The skirt steak is somewhat underrated; when properly prepared, it is exceptionally tasty and tender. Furthermore, skirt steaks are relatively inexpensive. The thin skirt steak cooks quickly and can be so simple to prepare. Remove the skirt steak from the marinade and clean away any excess marinade with the back of a knife. Skirt steak is marinated in hoisin sauce and topped with blue cheese to make this delicious dinner.

This is a wonderful marinade for skirt steak with a similar flavor to teriyaki but a less sugary taste.
After marinating just throw the skirt steak on the grill for best results.

Ingredients for Delicious Marinaded Skirt Steak:
- 4 skirt steaks.
- 1/2 cup soy sauce.
- 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce.
- 1/4 cup your favorite steak sauce (optional).
- 1/3 cup olive oil.
- 4 garlic cloves, minced.
- salt & pepper.
- 1 small yellow or white onion.
- 4-6 tbsp butter.
Filet mignon is wonderful and all, but skirt steak actually has more flavor. I also love the texture of skirt steak, and when it is marinated just right… it turns out so tender and flavorful. I've got a great marinade for you to try out on this steak (though you can use flank steak if you prefer that too). Step by step how to cook Delicious Marinaded Skirt Steak:
- Marinade: Put steaks in a big zip lock bag. Pour soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, olive oil, steak sauce, garlic, salt and pepper in bag. Seal and shake to cover all sides of the steaks. Marinade in refrigerator anywhere from 2-24 hours.
- Melt some of your butter in a pan over medium high heat and add steaks.
- Add in the cut onions and cook with steak. Make sure to add more butter and spoon over steaks while cooking.
- Cook until desired temperature (For the medium rare in this photo I cooked them about 2 1/2 minutes per side).
- Let set before serving..
