- 240 ml all purpose flour.
- 15 ml ground ginger.
- 10 ml baking powder.
- 5 ml ground cinnamon.
- 2.5 ml salt.
- 70 g butter.
- 240 ml white sugar.
- 1 egg.
- 60 ml molasses.
- 60 ml Cinnamon and sugar mix.
Step by step how to cook Ginger Biscuits:
- Prepare baking trays with baking paper and spray to grease.
- Preheat oven at 170c (between 180 and 140).
- Sift the flour, ginger, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir the mixture to blend evenly, and sift a second time into another bowl..
- Place the butter into a mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Gradually beat in the white sugar. Beat in the egg, and molasses. Sift 1/3 of the flour mixture into the butter mixture and mix thoroughly. Sift in the remaining flour mixture, and mix together until a soft dough forms.
- Pinch off small amounts of dough and roll into balls between your hands. Roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
