- 5 Tomatoes.
- 1 onion.
- 1/4 cup cream.
- 3-4 walnuts.
- 2 tbsp butter.
- 2 tbsp oil.
- 1 cinnamon stick.
- 2 green cardamom.
- 2 cloves.
- 1 tsp red chilli powder.
- 3-4 kashmiri red chillies.
- 1 tsp garlic paste.
- 1 ginger.
- 1 tsp kasurimethi.
- to taste Salt.
- 1/2 tsp sugar.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala.
- 1/2 tsp kitchen king masala.
- 1 tsp coriander cumin powder.
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1/4 cup fried purple yam.
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder.
- 3-4 basil leaves.
Step by step how to cook Makhani Gravy with Purple Yam:
- First in a pan add oil and butter, now add whole spices and red chillies, now saute it..
- Add ginger and garlic, now add onion and saute until it soft, now add chopped tomatoes and saute it well, now add walnuts, basil, and some water, cover it and cook it for 15-20 minutes..
- Now let it cool and then grind it, now strain it..
- In a pan add butter and now add red chilli powder, coriander cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, kitchen king masala, kasuri methi and mix now add prepared puree and mix, add salt and sugar..
- Once oil seperates add cream and mix it well..
- Now sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt on fried purple yam. Serve it with prepared makhani gravy and basil leaves..
