Ingredients for Oriental Fish Soup:

  1. 360 Grams Fish Fillet (I use Toothfish).
  2. 1 Medium Onion, chopped.
  3. 3 Stalks Celery Stick.
  4. 1 Litre Chicken Stock/Broth.
  5. 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce.
  6. 2 Tsp Dry Sherry / Shaoxing Wine.
  7. 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil.
  8. Salt, Pepper, Sugar for seasoning.

Step by step how to cook Oriental Fish Soup:

  1. Clean and fillet the fish, then marinate with Soy Sauce, Shaoxing Wine, and 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil, set aside in room temperature for 1 hour.
  2. In the meantime, chop the onion, and celery stalks.
  3. Saute the onion together with celery stalks, and close the lid for about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour over the chicken broth into the pot, and the fish together with the marinate sauce.
  5. Let it cook for about 10 minutes, then seasoned with salt, pepper, sugar. Taste and dish-up! Yum!!.
