Ingredients for Yeast Doughnuts:

  1. 3 cups flour.
  2. 0.5 cups sugar.
  3. I teaspoon yeast in quater cup warm water.
  4. 2 cups warm milk milk.
  5. 8 teaspoons butter /Margarine.
  6. I teaspoon vanilla essence.
  7. 1 egg.

Step by step how to cook Yeast Doughnuts:

  1. Pour the flour into a bowl.
  2. Add sugar then butter, mix to look like bread crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl beat the egg, add vanilla essence.
  4. Add the yeast mixed in quater cup warm water to the flour mixture.
  5. Incorporate the rest wet ingredients and knead adding milk in bits.
  6. Form a ball and cover with towel to rise and double in size. May take up to 2 hrs.
  7. Punch back, knead and shape the doughnuts.
  8. Fry in oil till golden brown.
